Playing Away

Following the success of our away trips last season we are looking to get enough people interested so we can run a bus to a few away games this season, the games we are looking at are St Mirren on 7th November and Motherwell on Boxing Day, if anyone is interested in going to these games please let the usual people know.
Also, if anyone has any footage of Andy Kerr, at the end of season do, falling off his chair under the influence of alcohol, money could exchange hands for the afore mentioned f [...]

As you may have seen on follow follow last Thursday, zsuits are promoting their Zsuits (www.zsuits.com), at a discount, to Rangers fans. They are Glasgow based, and both Rangers fans, and want to get Ibrox looking really bright and atmospheric for the opening game of the season.

Founders Trail - Are you interested?

Harrogate True Blues proposes to organise a Club outing to Glasgow, to take in a trip known as the Founders Trail. This is a three hour trip around Glasgow, visiting various sites integral to the foundation of Rangers Football Club, followed up by an hour tour round Ibrox Stadium.

The Founders Trail normally sets off around 12.00 pm on a Saturday or Sunday, and should be finished by 4.30 p.m. Maybe slightly later if we manage to build in a visit to Murray Park as well.

Another season over and the SPL title in the trophy room along with the League Cup! A big thank you to everyone that supported Harrogate True Blues RSC during the season.

We had a record number of members, a record number of season ticket holders and I suspect we took more people to matches than we ever have. Well done Walter, the coaching team and all the first team players. Title number 53 is in the bag - a great effort by all concerned. Not a classic on Sunday but we got the job done in the end - our new Super Hero - big Laff!!! - got the vital goal.

Two Harrogate True Blues RSC members - Stevie Wood and Graham Bishop (Bish) - are on their way to Afghanistan this week to serve our country. The very best wishes of all the members and friends of our supporters club go with them. We are all unstinting in our support for our Forces personnel and I know Stevie and Bish and all their colleagues really appreciate it.

Just thought I'd write a wee note after tonight's marvellous win at Killie, one that could define our season.

I managed to watch the game via the web and it perhaps summed up our season - not always pleasing on the eye but gutsy and the team got the goals required to win the game. Tonight's victory comes after a similarly workmanlike performance against St Mirren on Saturday. End Of Season Do

Tickets for the end of season party featuring The Thornlie Boys should be available at the Hibs game on the 14th Feb, which incidentally is Valentines Day, so for the big romantics among us what better gift could you give your loved one (or somebody else's loved one) than a ticket for our end of season function.

P.S....SEBO, if you are bringing one of your fat birds she will need two tickets as she will take up two seats and eat twice as much as anybody else.

The Club's end of season function will be held on Saturday 22 May 2010 at a Social Club in Leeds. Live entertainment will be provided by the Thornlie Boys. Tickets will be on sale shortly - price is £5 for members and £10 for non-members.

The Club membership currently stands at 107 with nearly 50 season ticket holders. The buses are full or nearly full on a regular basis and it is important that members book in advance to help us plan transport for everyone that wants to tra [...]

I think most will agree that Rangers' start to 2010 has been a little underwhelming. A good point at Parkhead in the derby was followed by three tricky matches against Hamilton in which at least four of our players picked up injuries (will we ever have a fully-fit squad??) and we face a tough game against Hearts on Saturday with a paper-thin squad to choose from.

And today we have had the worrying news that Aston Villa and Birmingham have put in bids for Kris 'the Goal Machine' Boyd [...]

I was on the coach that went to Ibrox for last night's hammering of Dundee United and it's a pretty good thing that we won so convincingly - because anything less would have made the journey back even harder!

I don't know about anyone else, but the last three home matches have been the just the ticket after draws at Ibrox to Aberdeen and Hibs.

The games against St Mirren, Killie and yesterday versus St Johnstone have yielded nine points, seven goals and only one conceded, and this has kept us in touch right at the top of the SPL. It seems that the problems that currently befall our great club cannot stymie the ardour of the HTB membership. Despite financial uncertainty and a difficult start to the season, there have been signs of life at Ibrox of late and the loyalty of the HTBs continued with yet another full bus on Saturday.

Like most fans, I would normally be extremely disappointed with only a point from a match like Saturday's but I was able to appreciate the so-called bigger picture at 5pm on Saturday.

While it was clear that the Dark Side would go back to the top of the pile with a win over Hamilton, the team's general play against the Hibees was possibly the best all season and it was pleasing to see a number of improved performances from the likes of Davis, especially given the makeshift nature of [...]

It's been a depressing week and many words have been spoken in the wake of the horrendous result on Tuesday night!

We can talk, argue, moan and kick the dug but our allegiance to our great Club must go on.

That's where our loyal HTB members and friends should take a bow. There was a good turnout on Tuesday and the response for Saturday's match against Hibs is phenomenal - we're running two buses for the first time ever!

After another weekend of breathless action, the Champions have re-taken (what some would their rightful) place back at the helm of the SPL.

A hard-fought victory against an enterprising St Johnstone side, which included an excellent winner from the often-unnoticed Sasa Papac, preceded an afternoon of sitting, wondering and hoping the Motherwell defence would keep Sellick at bay.

Just watched the highlights on Sky Sports News and even a fecking Celtic manager is saying it was a plain penalty!!!! Well after the the first international break we remain at the top of the SPL after a solid start to the season. Special mention must be made to the Hearts game where I must admit I was thinking a draw was unrealistic considering recent games away against Hearts. Need to keep it up against Motherwell and get a good win.

Now in the summer lets face it, I think we all knew that this summer in terms of transfers would be a quite one. I for one though ain't too bothered. We have a good team [...]
