Next Field Trip.

We are organising another H.T.Bs field trip for the away game at MOTHERWELL on Saturday 31st March, anyone who is interested in going will shortly be able to register for the bus online, or let the relevent people know.

Anyone who went on our last trip to Fir Park towards the end of last season will surely remember what a cracking day out it was before, during and after the game at the bowling club, even Archie turned up for an away game and even bought a drink, and who can forget Jimmy Murra [...]

A coach has been arranged for the away match against St Johnstone on Saturday 14 January. If you plan to go and haven't already registered online, or notified Andy or John, please get in touch as soon as possible.

Christmas Bus

Commitments so far: Ollie - pizza, Marion - After Eights, Jean - Square sausages in round rolls/round sausages in square rolls, Fozzie - 'fruit surprise', Gary K - cheese, Ally - I've forgotten, Rab D - I've forgotten, Rab M - 3000 sausage rolls and a squeeze box. Pigs in blankets & fortified grape juice from northern Portugal still required. And anything else you can think of that isn't sausage rolls.

We are approaching the Christmas and New Year period and there are a few forthcoming events to make you all aware of.

The coach for the Dunfermline home match on Saturday 3 December is filling up quickly so if you plan to go and haven't booked a seat yet, get your skates on. Great to report that the supporters club is really thriving again this season with unprecedented demand to travel on the coach. We are full up for the Dundee Utd match on Saturday 5 November and it is likely that the forthcoming matches will be equally busy. Members are reminded to book their seats online as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

NEXT AWAY TRIP

Following the success of our last away trip to Dunfirmline (for those who turned up), we are looking to run a bus to the away game at St Johnstone on Saturday 14th January with a 12.30 kick off.

The new season is now well under way and it is great to see Harrogate True Blues RSC in such a healthy state. The bus was full for the opening match against Hearts and is full again for the Aberdeen match on Sunday. There are a few items of news to bring to your attention.

Boy am I relieved that Rangers beat Linfield this afternoon. Not so much because that first pre-season victory always gives 'The People' something to shout about after the summer break, but more because MY DAD hasn't shut up his moanin' and greetin' ever since the defeat to Sportfreunde Lotte in Germany ten or so days ago.

Another trophy in the cabinet and another notch on the success belt of our Manager, Walter Smith - a great win and a fantastic boost for us all just when the doubts were creeping in!

A Harrogate True Blues RSC flag has been commissioned and should be available soon. It will be an 8ft x 4ft Union Flag with the Club name. Thanks to Bish for his assistance and for moving this on for us.

A few important updates for members.

We have a rearranged fixture against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Sunday 13 March 2011. Bus leaves at the usual time for a 3.00pm kick-off. There is a bus running from Leeming for the Europa League match against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday 17 March - the bus leaves Leeming at 1.45pm, Scotch Corner at 2.00, Penrith at 2.55 and Carlisle at 3.15.

We approach the festive season top of the SPL and still in Europe which is a pretty good position given all the takeover talk and financial constraints. We have a busy schedule over the next few weeks starting with the St Mirren match at Ibrox on Saturday 18 December. The bus is leaving 15 minutes earlier than normal for our pre-Christmas festivities. Help For Heroes

Those that attended the recent Dundee Utd match will know that we organised a raffle on the coach to make a donation to a good friend Martyn Ellis from Bristol who was carrying out a bike ride for "Help For Heroes". We raised a magnificent £120 which has been topped up from Harrogate True Blues funds to £150 and sent on to Martyn.

Following a good day out and a cracking result against Dundee Utd you would think there was no cause for complaint, WRONG, the state of the bus when we arrived in Leeds was, to say the least a disgrace, food all over the floor, (dodgy) drinks spilt over the seats, just what you would expect on a Celtic supporters bus, but this was a Rangers bus and we are cleaner than them.

John & Dave our regular drivers have a bad enough job driving us to Ibrox and back so the least we can do [...]

The season is now well under way and it is great to see the Teddy Bears make such an encouraging start, especially the great result at Old Trafford!

We will be running a coach to all the home SPL and Champions League matches and it is important that members book up in advance as we are likely to be busy for many matches. We also have a coach arranged for the St Mirren away match on Sunday 7 November 2010.

Following the success of our away trips last season we are looking to get enough people interested so we can run a bus to a few away games this season, the games we are looking at are St Mirren on 7th November and Motherwell on Boxing Day, if anyone is interested in going to these games please let the usual people know. As you may have seen on follow follow last Thursday, zsuits are promoting their Zsuits (www.zsuits.com), at a discount, to Rangers fans. They are Glasgow based, and both Rangers fans, and want to get Ibrox looking really bright and atmospheric for the opening game of the season.

Founders Trail - Are you interested?

Harrogate True Blues proposes to organise a Club outing to Glasgow, to take in a trip known as the Founders Trail. This is a three hour trip around Glasgow, visiting various sites integral to the foundation of Rangers Football Club, followed up by an hour tour round Ibrox Stadium.

The Founders Trail normally sets off around 12.00 pm on a Saturday or Sunday, and should be finished by 4.30 p.m. Maybe slightly later if we manage to build in a visit to Murray Park as well.

Another season over and the SPL title in the trophy room along with the League Cup! A big thank you to everyone that supported Harrogate True Blues RSC during the season.

We had a record number of members, a record number of season ticket holders and I suspect we took more people to matches than we ever have.
