Simply the Best

Well done Walter, the coaching team and all the first team players. Title number 53 is in the bag - a great effort by all concerned. Not a classic on Sunday but we got the job done in the end - our new Super Hero - big Laff!!! - got the vital goal.

A couple dates for all HTB members to note. On Sunday 9 May we will hold the AGM after the Motherwell match in the Rangers Supporters Assembly meeting room in Copland House at Ibrox. Saturday 22 May is the End of Season function at West Leeds Sports and Social Club, Redshaw Road, Leeds. If you haven't booked your tickets, please do so soon as demand is picking up rapidly. Live entertainment will be provided by The Thornlie Boys and we can be sure of celebrating the SPL title in style.

We have a number of visitors coming from around the UK and we look forward to welcoming them to a fantastic evening.

Two Harrogate True Blues RSC members - Stevie Wood and Graham Bishop (Bish) - are on their way to Afghanistan this week to serve our country. The very best wishes of all the members and friends of our supporters club go with them. We are all unstinting in our support for our Forces personnel and I know Stevie and Bish and all their colleagues really appreciate it.

I'm sure they will come across fellow Bluenoses on their tour of duty and will sing the praises of our supporters club.

I understand they will have e-mail and internet access so let's ensure we keep the messages of support going throughout the next 6 months. Hopefully, we'll be relaying stories of great results and more silverware for the Teddy Bears.

We all look forward to welcoming them back around October time.

ALL THE BEST GUYS - SEE YOU SOON!

Wee Jimmy

Just thought I'd write a wee note after tonight's marvellous win at Killie, one that could define our season.

I managed to watch the game via the web and it perhaps summed up our season - not always pleasing on the eye but gutsy and the team got the goals required to win the game. Tonight's victory comes after a similarly workmanlike performance against St Mirren on Saturday. I, and the rest of the stadium, might have had a bout of brown trousers syndrome when the Saints took a shock lead but we stormed back, equilising within a couple of minutes, and went on to win fairly comfortably in the end.

No-one can fault the effort and performances of our boys this season during difficult circumstances and, in my humble opinion, HM herself should be saying "arise, Sir Walter" in the 2011 New Year's Honours List for the boss's stewardship during such troubled times as well as his contribution to British football in general over the years. Back in September/October I was fearing the worst given our financial situation, but the squad has found incredible inner strength and team spirit to put the Gers within touching distance of retaining the title. Almost as pleasing as the team's performances has been the loyalty shown by the members of this great RSC. Early on this season it looked as though things might not go as we might have hoped, but the team has rewarded us for lots of full buses and great attendances at matches, so well done everyone (even you Sebo).

We now need only six wins to retain the title...let's try to do it in record time eh! Mon the Bears!

The Captain

Tickets for the end of season party featuring The Thornlie Boys should be available at the Hibs game on the 14th Feb, which incidentally is Valentines Day, so for the big romantics among us what better gift could you give your loved one (or somebody else's loved one) than a ticket for our end of season function.

P.S....SEBO, if you are bringing one of your fat birds she will need two tickets as she will take up two seats and eat twice as much as anybody else.
